#8 - The 5D Decision for Life

From this day on, I decide:

- to plan and prepare to keep myself,
and the people I care about safe, and healthy

- to do my best to deter, and prevent unsafe,
and unhealthy situations from happening to
me, or those I love

- to do my best to disrupt, and interrupt
any unsafe, or unhealthy situation in progress

- to do my best to disengage, and get away
from an unsafe, or unhealthy situation
as soon as I am able

- to debrief, and discuss with a trusted
person about any unsafe or unhealthy situations
that have occurred in the past, or may occur
in the future.

This is the most comprehensive and detailed blog for self defense. Thank you for posting. I'll implement this in my life through learning of philippine martial arts and obtaining appropriate weapons.

Very thorough and informative blog. Physical assault by a complete stranger or in domestic violence is unsettling. You offer sound debriefing skills. Thank you.

It's good to have an agreement, (something like this that is signed) as an act of sincerity and commitment.
So that we can be reminded that learning martial arts is not only for fun but for us to be responsible as well.

Learning even the basics of self defense can come in really handy these days. We'll never know when we are around people who are a little aggressive with regards to criminal activities.
Check out this site I've found. I've been subscribed to them for cool survival and self defense guide for free.

Wow! insightful stuff you have here. I have another blog I’d like to introduce you too, much like yours its dedicated to self defense. Less Lethal Alternatives is a blog dedicated to consumer info regarding less lethal self defense options that are made available to them. This ranges from electronic control devices such as Tasers, touch stun/ drive stun gun devices, pepper spray devices, personal alarms, fighting tools such as kubatons, pepperball launcher and traumatic launchers, home security devices, home security tips, self defense videos, and much much more. The blog has over 100 published articles which also include certain laws for carry of various devices by state. As self defense is on a lot of peoples minds these days and rightfully so, it is imperative that people learn some basic practical skills but also know what tools are at their disposal. Please come check it out! http://www.LessLethalAlternatives.com .

Great information here! I also came across a website that sells tasers, stun guns, mace, and surveillance products. They give a portion of their proceeds to charities.I think that is a great way to give back while helping others.
